Pay- $35.60-$39.10 base pay + night/weekend premium + ASE certification premium

- Diagnose, maintain, and repair major drive train, HVAC, and brake system components on tractors and trailers
- Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, drive train, and communication systems using technical and electronic equipment
- Maintain and repair tires, including installing and dismounting tires, and perform advanced axle alignments
- Provide preventative maintenance on brake system components, including adjustment or replacement
- Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
- Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
- Perform 8-point inspection on yard and over-the-road tractors according to written procedures
- Identify and perform warrantable repairs by entering accurate information on the condition, cause, and correction into the maintenance system, completing warranty tags as needed, and ensuring parts are retained according to warranty guidelines and creating and processing warranty claims to ensure proper credit is received according to company guidelines
- 3 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, including advanced diagnostics
- 1 year's experience in HVAC and diagnostics
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25
- Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.16
- 2 years' experience in trailer inspection and mechanical repair.
- College or technical school level coursework in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Brake Certification.
- DOT vehicle inspection certification

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.60 - $39.10* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
